We are delighted and honored to announce that the 12th Panhellenic Veterans and Seniors Basketball Championship will be hosted in Cyprus in the spring of 2026, marking a truly significant moment for Cypriot amateur basketball!
The Panhellenic Championship includes teams from various cities in Greece, and for the past two years, teams from Cyprus have also participated. In this year’s Championship, which was held in Piraeus, Cyprus was represented by five elite men’s and women’s teams from the Winter Basketball Championship.
The decision to entrust the organization of the event to Cyprus and the Winter Championship was made unanimously during this year’s meeting of participating teams and representatives from the Greek cities. This signals a new, outward-looking step for the Panhellenic Championship.
For the first time in its history, the Panhellenic Championship will take place outside mainland Greece. This highlights its growing momentum and reach, as well as its consistently strengthening connection with Cypriot amateur basketball.
The organization of the 12th Panhellenic Championship in 2026 will be undertaken by the Winter Basketball Championship, which will work with dedication and responsibility to ensure its smooth and successful implementation.
The exact dates and venue will be announced later this autumn. Cyprusbasket will serve as the Communication Sponsor for the event.
