The issuance of Health Certificates for all male and female players competing in the Winter Championship has been mandatory for two years and is now universally applied throughout amateur basketball in Cyprus.
As the new season approaches and with summer holidays for many people in between, we would like to remind all male and female players who intend to participate in the 2025-2026 Winter Championship that, in order to be eligible to compete, they must have a valid Health Certificate from the Cyprus Sports Organisation.
Therefore, all interested parties should check the expiration date of their Health Certificate, and if it has expired (or will expire soon), they must make arrangements to undergo the necessary medical examinations for its re-issuance. Given that this entire process requires a reasonable amount of time, we strongly recommend that those affected act promptly so that their Certificate is ready when the new season begins.
It is clarified that no exceptions will be made to the above rule. The safety and medical integrity of all players are of the highest priority for us.
