With great joy and pride, we announce the participation of five selected teams from the Cyprus Winter Basketball Championship in the 11th Panhellenic Veterans Championship, which will be held in Piraeus from May 23 to 25, 2025.
This is a historic moment for both the Winter Championship and for Cyprus as a whole, as this year’s mission consists of 50 people, a number that makes it one of the largest and most well-prepared veteran delegations to ever represent our country in an event abroad.
The five teams that will participate are:
- Men’s 35+ Team
- Men’s 40+ Team
- Men’s 45+ Team
- Men’s 50+ Team
- Women’s 35+ Team
These selected teams are made up of basketball players from most of the men’s and women’s teams of the Winter Championship.
This participation is the result of the organized and collective effort of the Winter Championship’s officials and demonstrates the dynamic and prestige that the Championship has now acquired, serving as a platform for the development and outreach of Cypriot amateur sports.
It is worth noting that this mission is largely self-funded by the athletes themselves, a fact that highlights their deep dedication and love for the sport and their selfless contribution to representing Cyprus at an international level.

The detailed schedule of the games will be announced soon, while most of the matches will be broadcast live via YouTube by the organizers in Greece.
