Three of the four Final-4 spots secured in the Silver Division

Unlike the other two divisions (Gold and Bronze), where the situation regarding the final standings has been fully clarified, the picture in the Silver Division remains more unclear. This is both logical and expected, given the larger number of teams and the fact that two rounds are still pending.

Nevertheless, based on the current standings, three of the four tickets to the Final Four have already been secured. EAK, UNIC Senior Eagles, and First Shoot APOPAL are guaranteed a place in the top four that will contest the Silver Division title, even if they were to suffer defeats in both remaining rounds.

Barring any surprises, EAK are expected to finish 1st, as they currently hold a two-point lead over UNIC and the Graduates. The only scenario that would see EAK drop from the top spot is if they lose both remaining games (against Blue Cats and First Shoot) while First Shoot win both of theirs.

The privileged 2nd place, which provides home-court advantage in the Semifinals, will be contested by UNIC Senior Eagles and First Shoot APOPAL, with the “Eagles” holding the upper hand thanks to their head-to-head victory, which gives them the tiebreaker advantage.

The battle for the fourth and final Final Four spot will be fought between the Blue Cats and the Nicosia Wizards, who are tied in 4th place with 10 points, with the team from Agios Dometios holding the head-to-head advantage. The Blue Cats will play away against EAK and at home against UNIC, while the “Wizards” have a somewhat more manageable schedule, facing the Splash Ballers away and the Old Bulldogs in Lakatamia.

On the other hand, the teams that have effectively fallen out of the race for a top-four finish are the Old Bulldogs, the Splash Ballers, and KEP–Dikefalos Geriou, who will occupy the bottom three positions and can no longer bridge the points gap. Although the Bulldogs have one more point than the other two and could, under certain conditions, overtake the Wizards in a potential tie, they cannot surpass the Blue Cats, having lost their head-to-head matchup.

Even so, these three teams are expected to play a decisive role in shaping the final standings of the rest and will certainly aim to finish the season on a positive note.
