Third consecutive win for the Pistols, who are steadily rising

The winning streak continues for the St. Nicholas Pistols, who overcame the hurdle of Art Eat ENAATH last night with a score of 77-55. They now share 2nd place with Apollon Heat, both with 7 points, just one point away from the top.

Giorgos Angonas’ team confirmed the predictions and their status as favorites before the tip-off, taking a strong lead early on and preventing the visitors from developing any plans to challenge for the win.

The already significant halftime lead of +15 (36-21) increased even further at the start of the second half, leading the hosts to gradually relax, assuming everything had been decided.

A sustained counterattack by the ENAATH team managed to reduce the gap from -20 to -12 (54-42) at the beginning of the final period. However, at that point, the Pistols woke up and, with consecutive shots from the perimeter, restored order, securing their 3rd “pink match sheet” (victory) of the season.

The MVP and top scorer of the match was Lefteris Triantafyllou, who added 30 points to his tally with excellent percentages (4/4 free throws, 7/11 two-pointers, 4/6 three-pointers), followed by Andrei Shirkin with 14. For the visitors, Makis Pipyros stood out with 21 points, supported mainly by Giorgos Dimitriou with 9.

In the next round, the Pistols will play away in a super derby against Apollon Heat, while ENAATH will host Arthouros.
