The Moufflons team secured its first victory in the Nicosia Championship last night, which is also its first since they started participating in the Winter Championship, specifically since last season 2024-2025.
The deep purple team had suffered a total of 14 losses in an equal number of games last season, and had also faced 5 more losses at the beginning of this year. However, they broke the spell last night and did so in an impressive manner, as they defeated the Nicosia Bar Association with a commanding 64-44, simultaneously igniting the battle for entry into the Silver Category.
Nemanja Bjedov’s team delivered its best performance of the season last night, achieving a great victory and their first win. Led by Viena (20 pts), Walid (13 pts), and Koptev (12 pts), they forced the Lawyers (who played without their top scorer Nikos Tsakonas) to their 5th defeat of the season.

Crucial for the Moufflons’ further course will be the game of the upcoming matchday against the Basket Bros, with whom they are currently tied. In the event of a win, they will pose a serious candidacy for qualification to the Silver Category at the end of the Regular Season.
