Full steam ahead towards the jump ball of the 4th Women’s Winter Championship are the seven teams that will take part, and all indications are that this year’s Championship will likely be the most exciting yet.
Its first and most important characteristic, in relation to the previous three tournaments, lies in the fact that this year’s Championship will not be held in just two cities, but in three, thus giving the tournament an (almost) pan-Cyprian character! In Nicosia and Larnaca, which until now were the cities where the Women’s Championship teams were based, Limassol has been added this year with the participation of the Aris team.
So, this season we will have 5 teams from Nicosia (Black Panthers, Blue Cats, ETHA Court Queens, WNBA & Dikefalos Geriou Angels), one from Larnaca (All’D Stars) and one from Limassol (Aris).
The 7 teams have already sent their rosters for the new season, which are particularly interesting, as there have been significant rearrangements in last year’s teams, as well as important additions to the new ones. A total of 116 female basketball players will participate in this year’s Championship.
The 1st matchday of the new season will take place in the week of November 17-21, 2025, and the entire Regular Season schedule will be published within the coming days. More details will be announced very soon.
