Last night’s victory for ESOBGA against KEP-Dikefalos Geriou with a score of 83-61 was more or less expected according to betting experts, given the excellent form of the home team and the adjustment phase of the visitors. The margin of the score might be somewhat surprising (it reached +27 at one point), however, there is a specific reason for this.
The reason is Dimitris Makris, who played an amazing game (again) last night, gathering a total efficiency score of 48, one of the highest we have seen in the Winter Championship not only this season, but in general.
More specifically, Dimitris scored a total of 29 points with excellent percentages (3/3 free throws, 4/4 two-pointers, and 6/12 three-pointers), grabbed 13 rebounds, dished out 6 assists, made 1 steal and 1 block, and didn’t commit even a single turnover, in a truly flawless evening!
Dimitris was among ESOBGA’s top performers in the derby of the opening game against the Warriors as well, where he also scored valuable points at critical moments of the match. He can therefore rightly be characterized as the leader of Christos Kyriakidis’ team, who is rubbing his hands with satisfaction both for Dimitris’ performances and for the rest of his team, which is doing brilliantly so far.
